In this story:

No matter where Miami Marlins hitting savant Luis Arraez plays, he just hits.

The Marlins infielder is trying to become the first player to hit .400 for a season since Ted Williams in 1941, closing out the first half at .383, and he went 2-2 in the All-Star Game on Tuesday.

The National League beat the American League, 3-2, for its first win since 2012 and Arraez had had one of the three runs batted in. In addition to that, he made some All-Star history with his hitting prowess.

Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

Luis Arraez is the only player with multiple hits in All-Star Game on the only pitches he saw, since pitch counts have been tracked (1988)

OF COURSE HE IS

Arraez is just having that kind of year. One of the best pure hitters in baseball, he's on track for his second consecutive batting title. He won the American League's version in 2022 with the Minnesota Twins and is looking like a lock for it this year in the National League.

He's been everything the Marlins could have wanted and more when they acquired him from the Twins this offseason for Pablo Lopez.

He's also a major reason why the Marlins are one of the surprise teams in baseball this season. Miami is currently 53-39 and in second place in the National League East. However, they currently lead the National League wild card picture.

They open up the second half of the season on Friday night when they travel to Baltimore to take on the Orioles.
