In this story:

Kyle Schwarber hit another home run on Saturday night as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 5 of the NLCS.

The Phillies won 6-1 to move one step closer to a return trip to the World Series. They lost to the Houston Astros last season and are seeking their first title since 2008.

Schwarber went 2-for-4 in the win, continuing an incredible run through these playoffs. In 11 games this postseason, he's now hitting .262 with five home runs and six RBI.

The Phillies have gone 8-3 this postseason after sweeping the Marlins in the wild card round, taking three of four from the Braves in the NLDS and now taking three of five from the D'Backs.

Schwarber's playoff prowess isn't only confined to this postseason, either. He made multiple instances of playoff history with his blast on Saturday. First, he now has 11 home runs in the NLCS in his career with the Cubs and Phillies, which is a record.

There's also this, per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

Kyle Schwarber now has 5 career postseason HR with a 114+ mph exit velocity, passing Giancarlo Stanton for most such PS HR under Statcast tracking (2015)

Lifetime, he's a .246 hitter in the playoffs with 20 home runs, which is also a footnote in history:

Kyle Schwarber reached 20 PS HR in 63 games, the fewest games to 20 postseason HR, surpassing Altuve’s 68

This regular season, Schwarber hit 47 homers and brought in 104 runs.

Game 6 of the NLCS will be played in Philadelphia on Monday night.
