Seattle Mariners' OF Has Done Something Not Done For Organization in Last Seven Years

In this story:
The Seattle Mariners enter play on Thursday at 1.0 game up in the chase for the third and final wild card spot. While the M's themselves don't play on Thursday, part of the reason they've been able to get into playoff position is because of a month-long hot streak from outfielder Teoscar Hernandez.
Per ESPN Stats & Info:
Mariners OF Teoscar Hernández went 1-4 today vs the Angels, extending his current on-base streak to 28 games.
That's the longest active on-base streak in MLB and the longest by a Mariner since Robinson Canó's 34-game on-base streak in 2016.

Hernandez was acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays this offseason in a deal for reliever Erik Swanson and has hit .267 with 25 homers, 88 RBI and a .312 on-base percentage.
While Hernandez struggled out of the gate in Seattle, he's largely been exactly what the M's hoped for when acquiring him.
The 30-year-old outfielder is in his eighth year in the big leagues with the Astros, Blue Jays and Mariners. He's a career .263 hitter with 158 home runs. His 25 home runs this season are already the third most of any season in his career and his 88 RBI are second, so he's provided the M's what he always has provided, essentially.
The Mariners are 81-65 on the season and also trail in the American League West race by 1.5 games behind the Houston Astros.
The Mariners will open a difficult weekend series on Friday night when they host the Los Angeles Dodgers.
