The Toronto Blue Jays beat the New York Yankees on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium 7-1.

The win was massive for the Jays, who kept pace in the American League playoff race. They are now 84-67 and remain a 1.0 game ahead of the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers for the second wild card spot.

They are trying to make the playoffs for the second consecutive year. They were beaten by the Seattle Mariners in the wild card round in 2022.

In the win over the Yankees on Tuesday, Jays shortstop Bo Bichette went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. He also scored two runs and passed Hall of Famer Fred McGriff on this impressive all-time team list.

Per @StatsCentre:

(Related) Most RBI by a #BlueJays player within their first 5 career MLB seasons:

400- Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

333- Alex Rios

319- George Bell

314- Lloyd Moseby

313- Eric Hinske

306- Bichette (Thanks to his 2-run blast in tonight's 7-1 victory against the Yankees)

305- Fred McGriff

Passing a Hall of Famer on any list is a great accomplishment, and the number would likely have been higher had Bichette not had to battle through injured list stints this season.

One of the most impactful players in all of baseball, he's hitting .304 through 523 at-bats this year. He's got 19 homers, 67 RBI and three steals. He's posted an .810 OPS.

The Jays and Yankees will play each other again on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. ET as Kevin Gausman (TOR) battles against Michael King (NYY).

Gausman is 11-9 on the year with a 3.40 ERA while King is 4-6 with a 2.77 ERA. He's transitioning to becoming a starter.
