Seattle Mariners Add Pair of Former AL West Pitchers to Bullpen Mix

In this story:
We heard recently that the Seattle Mariners were looking to round out their bullpen for 2024.
This week, they've added a few names to the mix that could potentially help in doing that: They've signed left-handers Kirby Snead and Jhonathan Diaz to minor league deals.
The information came from Baseball America, who published some transactions that took place over the last month of the offseason:
Seattle Mariners
Signed: RHP Brett De Geus, LHP Jhonathan Diaz, LHP Kirby Snead
Traded: OF Jarred Kelenic, LHP Marco Gonzales and 1B Evan White to Braves for RHPs Jackson Kowar and Cole Phillips
First off, as the M's think about their bullpen for 2024, the following guys appear to be locks (as long as health remains): Anthony DeSclafani, Andres Munoz, Matt Brash, Justin Topa, and Gabe Speier.
Beyond that, the team has intriguing arms like Prelander Berroa, Trent Thornton, Ty Adcock, Cody Bolton, Tayler Saucedo and Carlos Vargas on the 40-man roster, so it will be difficult for either of Diaz or Snead to crack the roster. Perhaps, they can serve as organizational depth.
The 29-year-old Snead has spent parts of three years in the big leagues with the Blue Jays and Athletics. He is 2-4 lifetime with a 5.20 ERA over 68 games. He pitched in 46 games for Oakland during the 2022 season.
As for Diaz, he's appeared in parts of three seasons with the Los Angeles Angels, going 201 over 11 lifetime appearances. He has started six games in his career, so he may able to serve as depth for the rotation as well.
