Arizona Diamondbacks' Ace Pitcher Expertly Roasted Philadelphia Phillies Fan on Social Media This Week

To the victors, go the spoils, they say...

Such is the case for Arizona Diamondbacks ace pitcher Zac Gallen, who took a brilliant shot on "X" at a Philadelphia Phillies fan this week after the D'Backs knocked the Phillies out of the NLCS in seven games.

The Phillies fan clearly posted something that Gallen saw - although it's currently a private post that we can't see.

Gallen's response? Putting out a post on "X" that said "make sure to get those tix for your next game," with a picture of a link to spring training tickets.

Yup, that's how it's done. Short, sweet, and to the point. Just savage.

While the Phillies fan is home and missing his team this weekend, Gallen will be taking the bump in Game 1 of the World Series against the Texas Rangers.

It will be the first World Series appearance of Gallen's career and the first appearance in the Fall Classic for the Diamondbacks since 2001.

He's struggled at times in these playoffs, going 2-2 with a 5.24 ERA. But he had a very accomplished regular season for Arizona, going 17-9 with a 3.47 ERA. He started the All-Star Game for the National League this summer in Seattle.

His opponent is none other than Nathan Eovaldi, who is one of the most decorated big-game pitchers currently. He is 8-1 lifetime as a starter in the playoffs and 8-3 overall.

He's 4-0 these playoffs with a 3.47 ERA.

Game 1 of the series is set for 8:03 p.m. ET at Globe Life Park.
