We're well aware that this stat is odd, but we're writing it anyways.

We're writing it for the long-time Cincinnati Reds fans -- and for fans of baseball nostalgia.

See, the Reds came-from-behind on Wednesday to beat the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, accomplishing something they hadn't done since the 1975 World Series, which Reds fans remember fondly.

Per ESPN Stats & Info:

The Reds trailed 2-0 and 3-1 tonight before rallying for a 5-4 win.

The last time the Reds had a comeback win over the Red Sox was Game 7 of the 1975 World Series.

They overcame a deficit in all 4 of their wins in the 1975 World Series

Again, we know the stat is odd. The two teams haven't met in the World Series since 1975 and Interleague play only started back in 1997, so they haven't played each other much since 1975, thus there haven't been many chances for Reds comeback wins over the Sox.

We get it. We wrote it anyways.

The win was a great one for the Reds, who are emerging as a young and exciting team in baseball. Full of young prospects, the team is starting to find its groove.

The Reds trailed 3-1 in the sixth inning and cut it to 3-2 when Nick Senzel singled home in a run. In the seventh, they tied the game on a double play and then took the lead on a homer from Spencer Steer.

Jarren Duran doubled a run in for the Red Sox in the eighth to make it 5-4, but that's how the game would finish.

The two teams play each other again on Thursday at 7:10 p.m. ET.
