Votto and the Reds presented Cabrera with a custom bat that includes the two teams' logos. It has been customary for teams to give Cabrera a parting gift this season, as he is retiring after the year.
The Reds put on social media:

Cabrera and Votto are two of the longest-tenured players in the league this season, with Cabrera taking part in his 21st season and Votto his 17th.
Two of the most accomplished players of their generation, they are both going to receive Hall of Fame consideration. Cabrera will get in, likely on the first ballot, with Votto's case being more contentious.
Cabrera is a lifetime .307 hitter with a .382 on-base percentage. He's a member of both the 3,000 hit club and the 500 home run club. He's a 12-time All-Star, a seven-time Silver Slugger, a four-time batting champion and a two-time MVP who also won a Triple Crown.
Votto is a career .295 hitter with a .410 on-base percentage. He's got 356 career home runs, is a six-time All-Star and an MVP winner.
The Reds will go to New York for a series with the Mets this weekend while the Tigers will visit the Angels.
