Boston Red Sox Legends Hang Out and Go Viral For Awesome Photograph

While critical major league playoff games were going on, a group of Boston Red Sox' legends were all hanging out, sending Sox fans into a frenzy on social media.

While Game 6 of the NLCS and Game 7 of the ALCS were going on Monday night, a group of Boston Red Sox legends were hanging out, sending Sox fans into a frenzy on social media.

Former Sox outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury posted the photo on Instagram, which went viral on the internet.

Nomar Garciaparra, Johnny Damon, Mike Lowell, Ellsbury, Kevin Youkilis, Dustin Pedroia and Jason Varitek were there, among others.

That's some of the most recognizable names in team history with multiple of those players helping bring multiple championships to Boston.

Garciaparra spent parts of 14 seasons in the big leagues, including nine with the Red Sox. He won two batting titles in Boston and a Rookie of the Year. He was a six-time All-Star.

Pedroia was a lifetime .299 hitter, making four All-Star teams. He was a four-time Gold Glover, Rookie of the Year, and an MVP winner. He was a two-time World Series champion.

Varitek also won two World Series rings with the Sox to go along with a Gold Glove, Silver Slugger and three All-Star appearances.

Ellsbury spent 11 years in the big leagues, including seven with the Red Sox. He led the league in stolen bases in three separate seasons and was named an All-Star. He also was a two-time World Series champion.

As for the modern day Red Sox, they finished last in the American League East and are looking for a new leader after firing Chief Baseball Officer Chaim Bloom.

The World Series will feature the Texas Rangers against either the Arizona Diamondbacks or the Philadelphia Phillies.
