With the Major League Baseball All-Star Game set to take place in Seattle on Tuesday night, Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred is already discussing possible sites for the 2025 Midsummer Classic.

The 2024 All-Star Game will take place in Arlington, Texas at the home of the Texas Rangers. As for 2025? Bob Nightengale of the USA Today reports...

Atlanta is in the mix for the 2025 All-Star Game, with Baltimore and Toronto expected to also be on the short list.

Nightengale added that Wrigley Field is also in the mix as well.

Atlanta was supposed to be host the All-Star Game in 2021, but that game was moved to Coors Field in Denver, so giving the game to Atlanta would be a way to give the city something it had been previously expecting. Atlanta hasn't hosted an All-Star Game since 2000.

As for Wrigley Field? The home of the Cubs hasn't hosted the Midsummer Classic since 1990.

Toronto hasn't seen an All-Star Game since 1991 and Baltimore hasn't hosted one since 1993.

Outside of Atlanta, all the cities in consideration will have waited at least 30 years by the time 2025 comes around.

Atlanta also has a new ballpark in Truist Park, so Major League Baseball could opt to showcase that, as they are doing in Arlington next year.

We'll have to wait and see but this author thinks the choice will be Atlanta given the new ballpark and the make-up for what happened in 2021.

Just a guess, we'll all wait and see!
