Milwaukee Brewers' Infielder Has Amazing Reaction to Meeting Derek Jeter on Saturday

It was Old Timers' Day at Yankee Stadium on Saturday and Derek Jeter was in the building. Milwaukee Brewers infielder Willy Adames made sure to get a meeting with his hero, and had a great reaction to it.

Milwaukee Brewers' infielder Willy Adames is going viral on the internet for his awesome and candid reaction to meeting Derek Jeter on Saturday afternoon.

The Brewers are in New York taking on the Yankees and Jeter was there as part of "Old Timers Day," and the honoring of the 1998 World Series team.

After the festivities were over, Adames ran out on the field, met Jeter, and then ran back to the dugout with the kind of wholesome expression that can only come from meeting your hero.

@willya02 did not let the moment pass to meet his idol, @derekjeter

One of the most successful and recognizable players of the last 30 years, Jeter is undoubtedly the idol of many current ballplayers. He spent 20 years in the big leagues, all with the Yankees. He was a part of five World Series winners (1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2009), was a 14-time All-Star, a five-time Gold Glove winner, a Rookie of the Year, and a World Series MVP.

He amassed 3,465 career hits and had a lifetime .310 batting average with 260 home runs. He is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Adames is a very good player in his own right. The 28-year-old is hitting just .212 this year but has 24 home runs and 72 RBI. He's also stolen four bases for the first-place Brewers.

Milwaukee won the game on Saturday 9-2 and will take on the Yankees again on Sunday afternoon.

First pitch from Yankee Stadium is set for 1:35 p.m. ET.
