The Minnesota Twins are reportedly still interested in bringing back outfielder Michael A. Taylor.

According to Bobby Nightengale Jr., a Twins' reporter:

The Twins haven't ruled out a reunion with free-agent center fielder Michael A. Taylor, though he was previously seeking a two-year contract. Adam Duvall is another potential fit as a righthanded hitter with experience in center field. Duvall hit .247 with 21 homers, 58 RBI and a .303 on-base percentage in 92 games for the Boston Red Sox last year while starting 56 games in center.

The Twins' offseason has been marred by a desire to save money, but after trading away Jorge Polanco, they appear to have a little bit of money now left.

Taylor just finished up his 10th year in the big leagues with the Nationals, Royals and Twins. His best year was with the 2017 Nationals, when he hit 19 homers and drove in 53. He was also part of the 2019 Nationals team that beat the Houston Astros in the World Series. His Gold Glove came with the Royals.

He hit 21 homers for the Twins in 2023 and also drove in 51. He stole 13 bases and is still a threat on the basepaths.

The Twins have brought in Anthony DeSclafani, Josh Staumont and Carlos Santana this offseason and are coming off a 2023 in which they won the American League Central. They should also get healthy seasons from Byron Buxton and Royce Lewis, which will make them even better.

They advanced to the American League Division Series last year, where they were beaten in four games by the Houston Astros.
