The world needs more positivity and happiness, I think we'd all agree.

Enter Pittsburgh Pirates legend Andrew McCutchen who is going viral for a heartwarming and emotional meeting with some fans in Los Angeles.

Several years ago, when McCutchen played for the Pirates the first time, he gave his batting gloves to some Pirates fans. Well, he met those same fans again this week in Los Angeles and shared a heartwarming reunion.

You can watch it unfold below:

How cool is that? The family has never been to Pittsburgh but McCutchen made impact that helped keep them Pirates fans for life. That's an awesome story here on July 4.

The Pirates and Dodgers play each other on Tuesday night at 9:10 p.m. ET. The Pirates will enter that game at 39-45 and 6.5 games out of the National League Central race.

The Dodgers are 47-37 and 2.5 games back in the National League West.

Luis Ortiz will pitch for Pittsburgh while Emmet Sheehan goes LA.

McCutchen is hitting .278 this season with 10 home runs. It's been a nice and successful reunion year in Pittsburgh for the veteran, who starred in the Steel City from 2009-2017. He's also spent time with the Giants, Yankees, Phillies and Brewers.

McCutchen is a five-time All-Star, a four-time Silver Slugger, a Gold Glove winner and a winner of the National League MVP Award.

There has been some speculation about McCutchen maybe being traded this trade deadline, but reports also indicate that he doesn't want to be traded.
