Another woman has stepped forward and accused former National League Cy Young winner Trevor Bauer of rape.

Bauer has been involved with sexual assault allegations before and was suspended for 194 games in total by Major League Baseball for violation of the league's domestic violence policy.

After the suspension was lifted, he was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers and signed with the Yokohama Baystars of the Nippon Professional Baseball League (Japan).

Bob Nightengale of USA Today wrote a story on the latest accusations saying that Bauer has denied the allegations.

"Baseball pitcher Trevor Bauer has been accused by another woman of sexual assault and choking her unconscious, this time in Arizona in late 2020, when the woman said in court filings that he raped her, got her pregnant and also held a jagged steak knife to her throat.

Bauer, 32, has denied the allegations in court records and has countersued the woman, accusing her of fraud, extortion and fabricating her pregnancy. The woman filed her civil complaint against him in December and then amended it more recently with details of her alleged encounters with him, becoming the fourth publicly known woman to make similar allegations against the former Cy Young Award winner."

Bauer's agent, Rachel Luba, put out a lengthy tweet, also refuting the allegations:

If you spent even 10 minutes looking into the credibility of this person, you’d see what many other media outlets and even mlb saw—that she has ZERO credibility & has made 4 different attempts over several years for 7-figure extortion demands to TB. All her texts contradict everything she claims (oh and her claims have drastically changed & evolved too from one demand letter to the next).

This isn’t her first rodeo either—she has a history of arrests and has made multiple prior allegations of SA against others over the years, including against at least one other professional athlete.

The 32-year-old right-hander has an 83-69 career record in the majors after having pitched for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Cleveland Guardians, Cincinnati Reds and the Dodgers.

He was named to the American League All-Star team in 2018 and won the Cy Young in the National League during the COVID 2020 season. He went just 5-4 that year but pitched to a 1.73 ERA and had a league-leading two shutouts. He also helped the Reds to the playoffs that year.
