Seattle Mariners first baseman Ty France hit a tie-breaking home run on Tuesday night against the Oakland Athletics -- and he took out a part of the T-Mobile Park scoreboard as well.

Hitting in the bottom of the fifth inning, France gave the Mariners a 3-2 lead by homering off of Luis Medina.

You can see the video of the home run, which was posted by noted baseball personality Jared Carrabis on Twitter.

Mariners fans will get a laugh out of the fact that the out of town scoreboard was up on the scoreboard at the time of the home run, and the "X" in Texas Rangers was what was knocked out.

France went 1-3 on the night with the home run but left in the eighth inning after being hit by a pitch. The Mariners will hope that he's OK as he's a vital part of the offensive attack.

For the season, he's hitting .261 with three homers and 21 RBI. He was acquired by the Mariners during the COVID 2020 season and is a lifetime .277 hitter with 52 homers and 224 RBI.

He was a 34th-round pick of the Padres back in the 2015 draft out of San Diego State, where he played for the legendary Tony Gwynn.

At the time of this posting, the Mariners lead the A's, 3-2. In addition to the France home run, J.P. Crawford also has a home run.

If the Mariners hold on, they'll move back to .500 at 24-24. If the A's lose, they'll fall to 10-40.
