Congratulations are in order for St. Louis Cardinals star Nolan Arenado, who reached the 1,000 career RBI plateau on Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Arenado, who has homered in five straight games heading into Wednesday, picked up the milestone by singling off of Corbin Burnes, a former Cy Young Award winner.

At the time of this posting, the Cardinals lead Milwaukee, 1-0, in the top of the second.

Arenado is red-hot at the plate and is now hitting .263 with eight homers and 31 RBIs. He's added two steals and a .752 OPS.

For his career, he's a .288 hitter with 307 home runs and the 1,000 RBI.

He's in his 11th year in the majors, having spent eight years with the Rockies and now three with the Cardinals. He's won a Gold Glove in all 10 of his seasons in the big leagues, has been named an All-Star seven times, and has received MVP votes in six different seasons.

Though the Cardinals are in last place currently in the National League Central, they have won seven of their last 10 games and our own Brady Farkas recently predicted them to win the division on the most recent 'Payoff Pitch' podcast.

After this game against Milwaukee, the Cardinals will open up a new series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. First pitch on Thursday is 7;45 p.m. ET. The Dodgers will enter that matchup at 28-16 and in first place in the National League West.

Julio Urias will pitch against Adam Wainwright.
