The Minnesota Twins will play the Boston Red Sox Wednesday night at 6:05 p.m. ET at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, Florida.

Joe Ryan will take the mound for the Twins, coming off a very strong first full season in the big leagues in 2022, in which he recorded a 13-8 record and 3.55 ERA over 147 innings pitched and 27 starts. Ryan hopes to build off his impressive 2022 campaign, as the Twins attempt to return to the postseason in 2023, for the first time in three years.

The Twins led the American League Central division for much of the 2022 season, but swooned in the final two months of the season, as they watched the Cleveland Guardians run away with the division title, finishing 78-64, 14 games behind their division rival.

Tanner Houck will start for the Red Sox Wednesday evening. Since making his big league debut in 2020, Houck has split time between the bullpen and the Red Sox' rotation. Last season, he made just four starts, while making 28 appearances pitching in relief. Houck could see more time as a starting pitcher for the Red Sox in 2023.
