Starting Lineups, Pitchers for Cardinals, Nationals March 4 Spring Training Game

In this story:
The St. Louis Cardinals will play the Washington Nationals Saturday at 1:05 p.m. ET at the Nationals' spring training home, The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida.
24-year-old Connor Thomas will take the mound for the Cardinals, making his second appearance of the spring. Thomas allowed two runs off five hits and a walk over two innings in his first appearance on Monday. Thomas has yet to make his Major League debut.
Josiah Gray will start opposite Thomas. The Nationals acquired Gray, along with Keibert Ruiz and Donovan Casey in a July 2021 trade in which the Nationals sent Trea Turner and Max Scherzer to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Gray was a top prospect in the Dodgers' farm system. Gray pitched his first full big league season as a starting pitcher in 2022, clocking a 5.02 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 78 ERA+ over 28 starts and 148.2 innings pitched.
