Starting Lineups, Pitchers for Giants, Royals March 5 Spring Training Game

The Kansas City Royals will play the San Francisco Giants Sunday at 3:05 p.m. ET at Scottsdale Stadium, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Alex Cobb will start for the Giants Sunday, making his second appearance of the spring. The Giants signed Cobb to a two-year, $20 million contract following the 2021 season, in which Cobb pitched for the Los Angeles Angels, after he was traded from the Baltimore Orioles. Cobb logged a 3.73 ERA, 7-8 record and 1.30 WHIP in his first season in the Bay Area.
Newly signed Jordan Lyles will start for the Royals, making his second appearance of the spring. Lyles signed a two-year, $17 million contract with the Royals in December, after pitching for the Orioles in 2022. Lyles posted a 4.42 ERA, 12-11 record and 1.39 WHIP in 32 starts with the Orioles. He previously pitched for the Texas Rangers, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies and Houston Astros.
