The Los Angeles Angels (16-14) and St. Louis Cardinals (10-20) will play game two of their three-game series Wednesday night at 7:45 p.m. ET at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Angels picked up a victory in the series' first game Tuesday night, defeating the Cardinals 5-1. The Cardinals are now ten games below .500, after they entered the 2023 season as betting favorites to repeat as National League Central champions. With Miles Mikolas (1-1, 5.97 ERA) on the bump Wednesday night, the Cardinals will try to get something going. St. Louis is ten games back of the NL Central-leading Pittsburgh Pirates (20-10). The club has lost four straight games.

The Angels will start their ace, 2021 American League MVP Shohei Ohtani (4-0, 1.85 ERA).
