The San Francisco Giants (11-16) and Houston Astros (15-13) will open a three game series Monday night at 8:10 p.m. ET at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.

The Astros dropped two of three at home to the Philadelphia Phillies over the weekend. They will try to bounce back against a faltering Giants club, two years removed from a 107-win season. The Giants dropped both games of a two-game series against the San Diego Padres in Mexico City over the weekend, and has lost three straight games.

Newly signed Ross Stripling (0-1, 6.89 ERA) will go for his first win of the season Monday, as he takes the mound for his new club. The Giants signed Stripling to a two-year contract over the winter, after former Giants starter Carlos Rodon agreed to a five-year deal with the New York Yankees.

Luis Garcia (2-2, 4.00 ERA) will start for the Astros. The Astros' rotation is now down Jose Urquidy, who was placed on the Injured List Monday, one day after exiting Sunday's game. The Astros have recalled Brandon Bielak from Triple-A Sugar Land.
