The Seattle Mariners will play game two of their three-game series against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field Tuesday evening at 7:40 p.m. ET.

The Mariners are in need of a win, after opening the season 4-7. Seattle is 2.5 games back of the Texas Rangers (6-4) in the American League West. The M's lost three of four at home to the Cleveland Guardians in the season's opening weekend. The club exacted revenge a week later, however, taking two of three in Cleveland last weekend. Seattle dropped game one of their three-game series at Wrigley in 10 innings Monday night. Tuesday night, manager Scott Servais will give the ball to Chris Flexen (0-1, 3.00 ERA), as the righty makes his third start of the season.

Rookie Hayden Wesneski will start Tuesday night for the Cubs. Wesneski impressed down the stretch of last season and earned the fifth spot in the club's pitching rotation with an impressive showing at spring training. Wesneski edged out Adrian Sampson and Javier Assad for the final spot in the rotation. The Cubs acquired Wesneski from the New York Yankees in exchange for relief pitcher Scott Effross prior to last summer's trade deadline.
