Starting Lineups, Pitchers for Washington Nationals, Houston Astros March 17 Spring Training Game

In this story:
The Washington Nationals will play the Houston Astros Friday at 1:05 p.m. ET at the Astros' spring training home, Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Former San Diego Padres top pitching prospect Mackenzie Gore will get the start for the Nationals. Gore hopes to excel in his first full season with the Nationals. The club acquired him from San Diego last August in a trade that sent Juan Soto and Josh Bell to the Padres, and C.J. Abrams, Robert Hassell, James Wood, Luke Voit, Jarlin Susana and Gore to Washington.
Opposite Gore, a top prospect for the Astros will take the mound. Hunter Brown, 24, excelled down the stretch of the 2022 season, pitching primarily out of the Astros' bullpen after receiving a September call-up. The departure of Justin Verlander and an injury to Lance McCullers Jr. could create an opportunity for Brown to be a key member of the Astros' pitching rotation in 2023. T
