Starting Lineups, Starting Pitchers for Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Chicago Cubs Game Sunday

In this story:
The Los Angeles Dodgers will close out a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs Sunday afternoon at 1:20 p.m. ET at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois.
The Dodgers are trying for a series win, and they'll have their longtime ace on the mound, Clayton Kershaw (3-1, 2.52 ERA). The term "ace" may be up for debate as it pertains to the Dodgers. Walker Buehler was the Dodgers' 2022 Opening Day starting pitcher. After placing third in National League Cy Young Award voting, Julio Urias was named the Dodgers' 2023 Opening Day starter earlier this spring.
Kershaw is a three-time National League Cy Young Award winner. In 2014, he was named NL MVP. Kershaw, 35, has spent his entire career with the Dodgers, since making his big league debut in 2008. He's the only Dodger remaining from the club's 2013 team that won the National League West division title, beginning their run of sustained success. The Dodgers have won the NL West nine of the last ten years. Kershaw has been there the entire way.
Cubs Opening Day starter Marcus Stroman (2-1, 0.75 ERA) will make his fifth start of the season Sunday. The club signed Stroman to a three-year contract when he hit free agency upon the conclusion of the 2021 Major League season.
The Cubs took game one 13-0 on Friday, with Drew Smyly losing a perfect game bid in the top of the eighth inning. The Dodgers roared back, winning Saturday's game 9-4. The two teams met a week ago in Los Angeles, with the Cubs taking two of three.
