The Texas Rangers signed Jacob deGrom, Andrew Heaney and Nathan Eovaldi this offseason with the goal of improving their pitching.

But as we near the one-third mark of the season, the Rangers offense is driving the ship in a big way.

- Lead MLB with 297 runs scored and 6.5 runs per game

The Rangers beat the Colorado Rockies on Sunday by a score of 13-3 to move to 29-17 on the season. 

For more on the Rangers offense:

--They have scored the most runs in baseball at 297. Tampa Bay is second at 290 and the Dodgers are third.

--They are third in baseball in hits, behind Tampa Bay and the St. Louis Cardinals

--They are tied for third in doubles at 94. The Boston Red sox have the most at 105.

--They are seventh in home runs at 63

--They lead the league in batting average at .272

--Outfielder Adolis Garcia leads the league in RBI at 49. Rafael Devers of the Red Sox is second at 44.

The Rangers will head East on Monday for a series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dane Dunning will pitch for Texas and Luis L. Ortiz will pitch for Pittsburgh.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. ET.

The Rangers lead the American League West by 2.0 games over the Houston Astros.
