In the absence of Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees offense has been dreadful.

Despite winning a series this week against the Seattle Mariners, the Yanks' offense remains incredibly frustrating. The team put up just two runs in a 4-2 loss to the Texas Rangers on Friday night as well.

Per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com:

The #Yankees' June team batting average (.193), on-base percentage (.254) and runs scored (60) all rank 30th in the Majors.

Now Judge was a part of that futility for a little while, as he didn't get injured until June 4, but it's mostly happened without him in the lineup.

The Yankees lineup yesterday featured all eight regulars hitting under .250 except for Anthony Rizzo (.273). Newcomer Billy McKinney is hitting .319 in limited action and three Yankees starters were hitting under .230.

Giancarlo Stanton, who is most expected to lift up the lineup in Judge's absence, is hitting just .183.

The Yankees are currently 41-35 and in third place in the American League East. They have lost seven of their last 10 games and are 10.5 games out of first place in the division. They are tied for the 2nd/3rd spot in the wild card race but are just 0.5 games ahead of Toronto and the Angels, and only 1.5 ahead of Boston.

The Yankees will play the Rangers again on Saturday afternoon. First pitch is 4:05 p.m. ET as Jon Gray (6-2, 2.96 ERA) goes for Texas against Luis Severino (0-2, 6.30 ERA).

Texas is 47-28.
