The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night by a score of 7-2. With the win, the Jays moved to 29-26 on the season while the loss moved Milwaukee to 28-26.

Jays lefty Yusei Kikuchi got the win on the mound after going five innings. He moved to 6-2 with the win, surrendering three hits, two earned runs and five walks. He struck out four.

In the win, Kikuchi reached two personal milestones, which the Jays tweeted about:

Yusei’s Milestone Day

NPB + MLB = 100 Career Wins

500 Major League Ks

Kikuchi came over from Japan before the 2019 season. He made his major league debut with the Seattle Mariners, winning six games in 2019, two in 2020, and seven in 2021. He joined the Blue Jays for the 2022 season and won six games, and now has the six this year.

He owns a lifetime 4.96 ERA and a 27-33 record. He made the All-Star team with Seattle in 2021.

He gave up two runs in the first inning and then pitched zeroes for his remaining four innings.

The Jays scored runs via a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. single, a Matt Chapman single, a Whit Merrifield double, a Bo Bichette fielders choice, a Brandon Belt single and a Cavan Biggio single.

These two teams will play again on Wednesday at 7:07 p.m. ET as Julio Teheran pitches for Milwaukee and Alek Manoah goes for the Jays.

The series will wrap on Thursday afternoon at 1:07 p.m. ET.
