Jake Paul Challenges UFC Star Conor McGregor To MMA Bout: "He's That Shot"

Paul doesn't shy away from MMA rules.

Jake Paul claims he's willing to to fight Conor McGregor under an MMA ruleset.

Paul, a popular social media personality, has been building up his pro boxing resume. He has beaten a slew of pro MMA fighters, and hopes to add to that list when he meets Nate Diaz on August 5. Many would expect Paul to try to goad McGregor into a boxing ring where the odds are in his favor, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

"When I knock out Nate Diaz I think that Conor McGregor is gonna see me, want a pay day and come and get knocked out," Paul said.

When asked if the bout would have to be under boxing rules, Paul said he's feeling so confident McGregor has lost a step that he'd even agree to an MMA fight.

"Either one, either one," Paul said. "We can fight in the PFL SmartCage, whatever it is. I told everybody that I would fight Conor in any form of fight because he, in my opinion, is that shot. I'll do MMA, I'm not afraid to step in there. I've wanted to do that my whole career. I'm a wrestler, wrestler background. So, all I'd have to learn is some jiu-jitsu and some kicks, which seems pretty easy to me."
