If there's one thing you shouldn't do as a "media member," it's trying to pick a fight with actual prizefighters.

That's the lesson that one Jake Paul employee holding a microphone during the Paul vs. Nate Diaz press conference quickly learned. During the presser, the person in question, who happens to be Derek Sullivan of Paul's Betr app, told Diaz that he could beat his brother Nick's "f***ing a**." Nick Diaz is a former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion and is considered a legend within the MMA community.

Nate Diaz wasn't amused by the individual's antics and reminded him that he has a whole squad with him. He then told the person that he deserves to have his "f***ing a** whipped."

Paul intervened and told Sullivan to "shut up." He even went as far as to say he would fire Sullivan later on, but there's no word on if "The Problem Child" is actually going through with dropping the Betr employee.

It was an odd moment in an otherwise tame press conference. Diaz simply didn't seem interested in talking trash with Paul, who seemingly read the room and limited his war of words to just a few minor digs.

The staredown between Paul and Diaz also didn't provide the fireworks some might've expected. There was some arm touching, but nothing got out of hand and the two posed for the cameras without incident.

Paul and Diaz are set to collide inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, on August 5. We'll be bringing you all of the key pre-fight shenanigans and details. Check back on our homepage on fight night for results and video highlights.
