While the two appeared to have had some beef brewing, the first press conference to promote their summer clash didn't go off the rails. The two fired off small verbal jabs at one another, with Diaz seemingly not being interested in the banter.

After the Stockton native returned from a bathroom break, he engaged in a staredown with "The Problem Child." The face-off had some light arm shoving, but the two were rather tame.

This will be Diaz's first pro boxing match. In terms of combat sports, he is coming off a submission win over Tony Ferguson, which was the last fight on his UFC deal. Diaz has made it clear that he plans to return to the UFC eventually.

As for Paul, this is a pivotal fight for him. He suffered the first loss of his pro boxing career earlier this year, dropping a split decision to Tommy Fury. During the press conference, Paul said that, for the most part, his circle has stuck with him after the defeat.
