WWE SmackDown: Cody Rhodes Appears Off-Air After The Rock's WrestleMania 40 Offer

Once WWE SmackDown ended, Cody Rhodes appeared for the live crowd in Glendale, Arizona.
Rhodes did not appear on TV for the March 1st episode as had been originally expected. Instead, The Rock, Roman Reigns, and the rest of The Bloodline had a long segment that ended with Dwayne Johnson acknowledging the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
There was also a counter offer made by The Bloodline. Cody initially wanted to face The Rock one-on-one. Instead, "The Great One" suggested a tag team match with The Rock and Roman Reigns taking on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on night one at WrestleMania 40.

While Cody won't be answering that counter offer until next week's episode of SmackDown, he did appear once the cameras stopped rolling.
Rhodes competed in a dark match against Monday Night Raw superstar Drew McIntyre. Drew had actually pinned Cody on the February 19th episode of WWE Raw thanks to interference from Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso of The Bloodline.
First dark match Damien Priest beat the Miz.

Many fans and pundits are expecting Rhodes and Rollins to accept The Bloodline's counter offer for night one of WrestleMania 40.
The Rock has added a stipulation. If Cody and Seth win the tag team match, then Rhodes vs. Reigns on night two will see The Bloodline barred from ringside. If The Rock and Roman win, then Cody's title rematch will be "Bloodline Rules."
