ONE Championship touched down in Qatar for the first time with a stacked ONE 166 card at the Lusail Sports Arena.

The main event was a rematch between ONE Championship titleholders Anatoly Malykhin and Reinier de Ridder. “Spartak” knocked out de Ridder in 2022 to claim the ONE heavyweight title, and Malykhin stopped the Dutchman again in their rematch to become a three-division champion.

The co-main event also featured another title fight rematch as Thanh Le looked to avenge a decision loss to champion Kai Tang. The American rebounded from losing the 155 lb. title when he defeated Ilya Freymanov last year to claim the interim belt, but Tang dropped him in the third round and rained down follow-up punches to unify the two belts. 

The third and final title fight was another rematch with Joshua Pacio aiming to reclaim his 125 lb. belt from UFC veteran Jarred Brooks. “The Monkey God” had been perfect in ONE Championship outside of a submission loss to Mikey Musumeci in a bid for the 135 lb. grappling title, but unfortunately an illegal slam in the opening minute saw Pacio reclaim the strawweight belt via disqualification. 

The card also saw included another disqualification when Amir Aliakbari defeated former champion Arjan Bhullar, and the rest of the event featured some entertaining MMA, grappling, and 4 oz. Muay Thai action as well as ONE Championship's first boxing match since 2018.
