One of the most watched sneaker free agency periods in recent memory came to an end earlier this summer. Dallas Mavericks point guard Kyrie Irving signed a five-year footwear and apparel contract with the Chinese brand ANTA in June.

The sneaker deal includes a signature shoe line and makes Irving the Chief Creative Officer of ANTA Basketball. The outspoken point guard recently toured China to promote his new partnership and visit the brand's headquarters in Xiamen.

In addition to meeting with fans, factory workers, and ANTA leadership, the NBA All-Star also used the trip to unveil his new signature logo. Basketball fans and sneakerheads got their first glimpse of the logo on a massive outdoor mural.

The logo is not that different from Irving's signature Nike logo, which he used with the American brand for almost a decade. We can see a "K" and the number "11," which is the jersey number Irving is switching back to in the 2023-24 NBA season.

Of course, Nike canceled Irving's signature sneaker line in November 2022 following the NBA All-Star's controversial rhetoric, which was deemed antisemitic. The two partners officially parted ways the following month, and Irving wore Nike sneakers with all branding concealed for the remainder of the season.

Irving does not have a new signature sneaker line yet. However, he is expected to wear the ANTA Shock Wave 5 to start the upcoming NBA season. Fans should stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for updates on this story as well as all their footwear news from the sports world.
