On Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Lakers mounted a furious comeback to defeat the Dallas Mavericks 111-108 on the road. LeBron James tallied 26 points and eight rebounds in an unreleased colorway of his newest shoes.

Throughout this season, James has worn retro models and his 20th signature shoe with the swoosh - the Nike LeBron 20. However, James has a newer model, known as the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen, that he has worn in recent weeks.

The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen flew off the shelves in the first colorway to release. Now fans are anxiously awaiting news to find out if the fiery red and black shoes James wore on Sunday will enjoy a general release.

Retro models from James' signature line and his newest shoes are available in full family sizing on Nike's website. Below is everything fans must know about the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen basketball shoes.

The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen launched in February for $160 in adult sizes. The performance basketball shoes are engineered to support the most powerful player in the sport, but they were tailored for the modern game.

Impact protection is provided by a foam midsole containing a large top-loaded forefoot Zoom Air unit that is curved to bend in any direction. The unique design provides energy return for responsiveness while maintaining a flexible court feel.

Similar to the Nike LeBron 20, this model features several nods to James' historic career. The rubber outsole features a traction pattern which is a map of James' hometown of Akron. Future colorways will honor James' family and legendary career.

After four NBA Finals MVP awards, 19 All-Star appearances, and breaking the league's all-time scoring record, James has nothing left to prove. However, James and Nike show no signs of slowing down.
