It was not that long ago when the Oregon Ducks dismantled the Colorado Buffaloes in a nationally televised college football game. To add insult to injury, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning made the stinging remark, "They're fighting for clicks; we're fighting for wins."

Lanning's statement was a thinly veiled shot at Colorado head coach Deion Sanders after the football legend had quickly grabbed the media's attention and infused star power into the sleepy college town of Boulder, Colorado.

Sanders may not have gotten the last laugh as both teams head to different conferences after this season. However, he perhaps had a good chuckle (we know we did) upon seeing the Nike cleats that some Oregon players will wear in this Friday's Pac-12 Championship Game against the Washington Huskies.

A detailed look at the Oregon Ducks' Nike cleats.

On Tuesday night, Oregon's official social media accounts shared a sneak peek of the Ducks' uniforms for their game against Washington. It was a simple white and green combination, but the Nike DT 96 in a player-exclusive colorway is what caught the attention of many fans.

Before turning the NCAA landscape upside down, Sanders wore his signature footwear on the gridiron and the baseball diamond throughout the 1990s. Throughout this season, his sons Shedeur and Shilo have worn the iconic cleats in Colorado-inspired colorways. Even better, Nike redesigned the cleat into a supportive sneaker to help the family patriarch with his lower-body injuries.

The Nike DT 96 is rumored to be released to the public in Spring 2024. In the meantime, online shoppers can stock up on Ducks gear or show their allegiance to Sanders with "Coach Prime" apparel on the Nike website. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear news from the sports world.
