Devin Booker Debuts New Sneakers Honoring Kobe Bryant
There are more signature sneaker lines in the NBA than ever before. Keeping up with new releases is like drinking water from a fire hose. Despite all the noise from various sneaker brands, one unassuming player is building hype for his upcoming signature sneaker with very little effort.
Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker is not the biggest sneakerhead in the NBA. The 3x NBA All-Star likes to wear his scuffed-up Converse Chuck Taylors off the court and often wears the same pairs of Nike basketball shoes on the court.
Nevertheless, athletes and fans remain excited about the upcoming launch of the Nike Book 1. During Wednesday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Booker led the Suns to victory with 34 points. Even better, he used his sneakers to pay homage to his late mentor.

Before debuting his unreleased signature sneaker, Booker wore Kobe Bryant's kicks on the court throughout most of his career. Booker was a rookie during Bryant's final season, which led to an iconic post-game meeting in which the first-year player asked the veteran to autograph his game-worn shoes.
Bryant obliged and added the message, "Be Legendary." Following Bryant's untimely passing, Booker got the phrase tattooed on his arm and continues to write it on all of his footwear.
As a callback to one of his most memorable player-exclusive colorways, Booker debuted a Kobe-inspired colorway of the Nike Book 1 on Wednesday night. There is no confirmation that this heartfelt colorway will be released. However, we know the Nike Book 1 is scheduled to launch next month.
