How to Watch Sunday Night's Main Event: Date, Start Time, Match Card, Location & Live Stream

It'll be a WrestleMania 42 rematch at WWE Sunday Night's Main Event as Cody Rhodes takes on Randy Orton in Cody's hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

What happens when the Legend Killer is the only legend left standing in WWE?

Randy Orton made his surprise return to WWE at SummerSlam when he slid into the ring and dropped Cody Rhodes with an RKO. The three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment cost his former protégé a shot at becoming a four-time WWE Champion, and because of his actions, the Apex Predator has now become the prey of the American Nightmare.

Rhodes says that he no longer feels obligated to hold himself to the high moral standards that comes with being the WWE Champion, and QB1 is ready to unleash the worst version of himself in order to exterminate The Viper at Sunday Night's Main Event. They'll have to stay away from each other until Sunday, September 6, however, or SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis says neither man will ever challenge for the WWE Championship again.

It's a different night, but the same great action sprinkled with a touch of nostalgia that wrestling fans have grown accustomed to watching on Saturdays. And while the new age SNME gives a tip of the cap to the past, all eyes will be looking toward the future of WWE when Oba Femi goes one-on-one with Bron Breakker.

It wasn't that long ago that Breakker was viewed as the next big thing in the company, but then The Ruler burst onto the scene earlier this year. Oba Femi went on to win the 2026 King of the Ring and then he retired Brock Lesnar (for good, we think) inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam.

Breakker, although he's one half of the World Tag Team Champions, doesn't appear satisfied in the slightest with his current standing in WWE. A victory over Oba Femi in front of his hometown crowd would certainly put him right back on the same trajectory he was last year, prior to Seth Rollins' shoulder injury.

Baron Corbin shocked a large portion of the WWE Universe when he defeated Trick Williams at SummerSlam to win the Men's United States Championship. He then proved that his victory was no fluke when he retained his title against Trick the following Friday night on SmackDown.

Granted, the Nomad used underhanded tactics to secure both victories, but he still got the job done, and the only way Trick is ever going to get another opportunity at the Men's United States Championship is if Lil Yachty can survive five minutes in the ring with Baron Corbin at Sunday Night's Main Event.

Here's everything we known about next month's Peacock exclusive special event in Atlanta, Georgia. Check back for updates as more matches are expected to be added to the card in the coming days.
