WWE Fans Will Soon Be Paying More for Premium Live Events

Get ready to pay more for your monthly WWE premium live events on ESPN Unlimited.

It's been a rough transition for WWE fans price wise as the companies premium live events shifted from Peacock to ESPN Unlimited in the United States. Now coming up on the one year anniversary of the two sides working together, ESPN Unlimited will be raising it's monthly subscription price.

ESPN has announced that, effective September 17, the price of ESPN Unlimited will increase across both the monthly and annual tiers. The monthly price will be increasing from $29.99 to $31.99 a month. While the annual price will be increasing from $299.99 to $319.99 a year.

WWE debuted on ESPN Unlimited last year with Wrestlepalooza

While international WWE fans have enjoyed all of their weekly content on Netflix, wrestling fans in the United States have been consuming their WWE programming across a variety of platforms.

Last September, WWE moved all of its premium live events to ESPN Unlimited, starting with the critically panned Wrestlepalooza. The event featured Brock Lesnar squashing John Cena in one of his final matches with the company, while Cody Rhodes defeated Drew McIntyre to retain the WWE Championship.

WWE decided not to bring Wrestlepalooza back this year, but no reason was given for the event not returning next month to coincide with the companies one year anniversary on ESPN Unlimited.

There aren't many WWE premium live events left in 2026

If you're subscribed to ESPN Unlimited exclusively for WWE premium live events, you won't be thrilled to learn there aren't many of those events left in the current calendar year.

As of now, only Money in the Bank and Survivor Series remain on WWE's premium live event calendar for the rest of 2026. Two events in four months don't exactly scream value for the average WWE fan who is only paying for ESPN Unlimited to watch these events.

Luckily, it appears Triple H might have some plans up his sleeve to expand the premium live event calendar in the coming weeks. It was recently reported that WWE intends to return to Saudi Arabia later this year for its annual Crown Jewel premium live event.

In addition, WWE could take the John Cena Classic event announced earlier this year and turn it into a premium live event in December. The way Cena described the event, it didn't sound like something that would take place on a typical episode of Raw or SmackDown. So hopefully this will turn into WWE's final premium live event of the year.
