Quincy Sims

Quincy Sims is a lifelong runner and coach with deep roots in the sport. A former captain of his high school track and cross-country teams, he went on to compete at Cal State Fullerton on scholarship, earning All-Conference honors four times in the triple jump. For the past 25 years, Quincy has coached track and cross-country at the high school level, where he now serves as a head coach. His passion for the sport continues to inspire both his athletes and his writing. He began contributing to High School On SI in 2025.
