A homegrown Dade County product will be out for the foreseeable future due to an injury. 

In a release by Inter Miami CF, 18-year old star midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi will be out up to three months due to a sports hernia injury. 

Cremaschi has shined in his rookie campaign with Inter Miami CF, talllying two goals and four assists in 28 appearances, with of them being 21 starts. The rookie midfielder earned the No. 2 spot on last year's 22 Under 22 presented by BODYARMOR list. 

The 18-year old grew through the local youth leagues in the Miami area, playing soccer for clubs like Key Biscayne SC and Weston FC. Cremaschi attended MAST Academy up until sophomore year before switching to online schooling. 

In his international career, Cremaschi has made a total of seven starts between U19, U23 and the national team for the United States. 

Inter Miami begins the competitive preseason end of their slate on Feb. 21 at DRV PNK Stadium against Real Salt Lake.
