The Bridgman Bees defeated the Algonac Muskrats 7-1 in the Division 3 MHSAA baseball finals on Saturday at McLane Stadium.

In the bottom of the third inning, Wade Haskins hit an infield fly to first base. Charlie Pagel advanced to second, Tanner Peters advanced to third and Alec MacMartin scored.

Riley Gloe singled up the middle and advanced to second on a throwing error by the Algonac shortstop. Pagel and Peters scored unearned runs.

Nolan Roberts doubled down the right field line and Gloe scored, unearned, for a four-run inning for the Muskrats in the third inning.

Bridgman added two runs in the fifth inning. Roberts singled to center field for an RBI while Gloe advanced to third and Pagel scored. Ethan Stine reached on a fielder's choice and Gloe scored.

Algonac earned a run in the sixth inning. Evan Saddler singled to left center to drive Nate Vercammen in.

The Bees scored one run in the sixth inning. Pagel doubled down the left field line. Cooper Allwood scored.

Pagel was also on the mound for the Bees. He pitched seven innings, allowing one earned run while striking out five and walking one batter.
