MINNETONKA — The Hopkins Royals play the Minnetonka Skippers in the MSHSL girls basketball Class 4A state championship game on Saturday at Williams Arena.

FINAL: Minnetonka 64, Hopkins 56

SECOND HALF UPDATES

Minnetonka's Celia Nesseth grabbed a rebound, went back up and scored the basket and drew the foul. She puts the Skippers up 62 -56 with 16 seconds remaining.

Neither team has scored as they trade possessions. Minnetonka still leads by three with 20 seconds remaining.

Hopkins cuts the lead to 59-56 with 55 seconds remaining.

Crump has now fouled out with 1:47 remaining.

Hopkins cut the lead to two, but Aaliyah Crump made a basket and a foul to put the Skippers up by five.

Hopkins on a 10-0 run with 3:45 remaining. Skippers lead 56-52.

Hopkins starts to full-court press the Skippers, and it gives Minnetonka some initial issues. Minnetonka 56, Hopkins 48

The Skippers lead 53-42 with eight minutes remaining. 

Minnetonka leads 47-40 with 11 minutes remaining. Hopkins with five more shots than Minnetonka so far this half, but they aren't falling.

Minnetonka slowly building a double-digit lead. The Skippers lead 45-33 with 14 minutes remaining. Crump up to 18 points.

Neither team shot well in the first half as both are around 35 percent, but Minnetonka leads in the rebound and turnover margin.
