Photos: Lee's Summit North tops Lee's Summit West 28-21 in Missouri football showdown

LEE'S SUMMIT, MISSOURI — Lee's Summit North and visiting Lee's Summit West went back and forth for four quarters on Friday night.
It was a fitting showdown for two of the top unbeaten teams in Missouri.
In the end, it was top-ranked Lee's Summit North that emerged with a hard-fought 28-21 victory over visiting Lee's Summit North on a late touchdown run from senior quarterback Elijah Leonard.
Lee's Summit North improved to 8-0 with one regular season game remaining. Lee's Summit West, which went 3-8 a year ago and 4-6 in 2021, fell to 7-1.
Leonard, a Missouri State commit, accounted for three touchdowns, including two touchdown passes to junior standout wide receiver Isaiah Mozee.
