Devin Collins scores game-high 15 points as Cougars win first state title

INDIANAPOLIS - Devin Collins scored a game-high 15 points and teammate Jaylen Mullen added 13 to lift North Daviess over Lafayette Central 48-46 on Saturday morning in double overtime for the IHSAA Class A boys basketball championship at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
It marked the first state boys basketball title for the Cougars (27-3). It was the first time a Class A boys championship game was decided in double overtime.
Logan Wilson had seven points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds for North Daviess.
Clark Barrett and Clark Obermiller led Lafayette Central Catholic (20-10) with 13 points each. Barrett also grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.
