St. Joseph's Prep vs. Lakeland: How to watch, live score updates (9/8/2023)

St. Joseph's Prep (Pennsylvania) has one of the most impressive losses on the young 2023 high school football season — to a team from Florida.
The juggernaut from Philadelphia lost to Florida powerhouse IMG Academy 17-14 in Week 1, and now St. Joseph's Prep travels south to take on another Sunshine State opponent in host Lakeland.
It's the first time in 14 years that Lakeland has played an out-of-state opponent.
St. Joseph's Prep (1-1) enters the game ranked No. 10 in the national SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25, while Lakeland (1-1) is No. 10 in the Florida SBLive/Sports Illustrated Top 25.

St. Joseph's Prep (Pennsylvania)
Cincinnati commit Samaj Jones is the St. Joseph’s Prep starting quarterback, but he's rumored to be out for this game. If he can't play, that deals a blow to the Hawks’ offensive attack despite their talented offensive line and skill players.
The Hawks' defense features several future Power Five college football players. Players to watch in the front seven for are linebackers Nick McGlynn, Anthony Sacca and defensive linemen Maxwell Roy and Alexander Haskell.
Lakeland (Florida)
The Lakeland secondary is loaded with Power Five talent post-Cormani McClain, boasting standout players such as Brayshon Williams, Carlos Mitchell and Jameson Young.
And Palmetto transfer Zander Smith has been super efficient at quarterback, completing 32-of-37 passes for 422 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions.
