Top Illinois high school basketball team wins at buzzer — again: Look

All Gianni Cobb had time to do was create separation, catch and release. The Homewood Flossmoor (Illinois) guard let a 3-point attempt go that splashed in to down Thornton on Sunday.
Thornton led by one with 1.5 seconds left when Cobb, a Columbia commit, flashed out to the 3-point arc and drained a high-arcing shot to lift the Vikings (21-2) to a 65-63 win and send a packed South Holland crowd into a frenzy.
The thriller at the Chelby Frazier Memorial Shootout marks the second time Cobb has beat Thornton (20-3) at the buzzer this season.
