Hewitt Trussville Shooting Guard Amiya Payne led all scorers with 23 points as the Huskies beat Vestavia Hills Rebels 75-40 in a game at Hewitt-Trussville High School.

Payne’s points came on 6 field goals, 2 three pointers and 5 of 6 free throws during the game.

Anna Wood added 9. Vestavia Hills fell to 1-1 overall while Hewitt Trussville improved their record to 12-6.

Hewitt Trussville will travel to Spain Park High School on Friday Jan. 11 at 4:00pm to play Spain Park.
