Sycamore cruises by Woodstock 48-14

QB Grant McConkey accumulated 113 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to guide Sycamore to a 48-14 win over Woodstock on Friday night at Woodstock.

The Spartans also received vital efforts from RB Logan Egler who rushed 5 times for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns and WR Manuel Dominguez who caught 1 pass for 41 yards and 1 touchdown.

Woodstock’s QB Michael Purkey threw for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns, LB Carl Anderson picked up 76 rushing yards and TE Nathan Archambeau had 85 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.

With the loss, Woodstock falls to 1-2 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Woodstock travels to Burlington, IL to face off against the Burlington Central Rockets on Friday September 14 at 5:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
