Capital Christian’s Austin Alexander led all scorers with 22 points as the Cougars beat Durango 73-68 in a game at Desert Oasis.”

Alexander’s points came on 9 field goals and 4 of 5 free throws during the game.

Durango was led by Vernell Watts’ 15 points and Nicquel Blake added 13. Durango fell to 3-4 overall while Capital Christian improved their record to 1-0.

Durango’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Wednesday Jan. 4 at 6:30pm versus Bonanza.
