Canby Guard Payton Meyers led the way with 20 points as the Cougars beat Evergreen Plainsmen 65-61 in a game at Liberty High School, Hillsboro OR.

Meyers’ points came on 3 field goals, 3 three pointers and 5 of 7 free throws during the game.

Juelz Mendoza added 28. Evergreen fell to 2-4-1 overall while Canby improved their record to 7-2.

Evergreen’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Tuesday Jan. 4 versus Union. Canby will travel to on Tuesday Jan. 4 to play Scappoose.
